Nylon tubing is also named polyamide tube, which is wildly used for hydraulic and pneumatic connections, chemical plant, medical instrument and food industry. It has long lifespan with its durability, flexibility, anti-pressure, anti-vibration, anti-corrosion and heat-proof features. Various imperial sizes and metric size, and materials of PA12, PA11, PA6 are available for your option.
Nylon Tubing Features:
Strong, lightweight and flexible tubing
Dimensionally stable.
Heat and light stabilized.
Resistant to corrosion and stress-cracking.
So do you know how to test nylon air tubing? Here is the test method.
Appearance checking
Diameter: After setting an outer diameter of 12mm, no tolerance if display as 0 and otherwise not meet the standard if figure larger than 0.15mm.
Thickness: measure directly
Tensile Testing
Set the pressure to 1614N and start the machine. If the pipe doesn’t break, then it does meet the standard, otherwise, doesn’t meet the standard.
Burst Testing
Burst test: Fix the pipe to the test machine and increase the pressure inside the tubes. Don’t record the pressure until the pipe burst. It is failature if the figure is lower than 5.4.
